Yucca Intensive Helps Arthritis In Dogs

Arthritis In Animals Can Be Relieved With Yucca Schindigera Extract

Yucca Intensive is an all-natural, homeopathic anti-inflammatory designed especially to treat arthritis in animals. The yucca produces natural steroidal saponins that can give relief to aching joints and reduce inflammation. These saponins work much the same way that steroidal shots or pills do, but without the side effects.

To be clear, a dose of yucca shindigera extract is not going to have the same immediate effect on arthritis in dogs or cats as a cortisone shot would. Over time, the steroidal effect from the saponins will build up and will provide ongoing relief to your pet.

Herbal and homeopathic treatments are gaining in popularity and yucca shindigera extract may be a good solution for you and your pet.

Yucca Intensive & Arthritis In Dogs

Arthritis in animals is something all pet owners must face. As our pets age, their joints begin to wear and become inflamed. The pain and stiffness is evident in our furry buddies as cold weather sets in, they try to get on the bed or climb the stairs, and as they begin moving a bit slower and more purposefully.

As the owner of a large breed prone to hip and elbow problems, keeping an eye on her joint health is extremely important to me.

The arthritis crept into her hips, thankfully, it progressed very slowly. She never got really bad arthritis. I believe it was because we were proactive and got her on the yucca extract early.

The vet recommended a low-dose buffered aspirin once a day to take the edge off. I’ve found she seems to get similar relief with yucca extract. The vet prefers I give her aspirin since the effects have more documentation. However, yucca is on the FDA's GRAS (generally regarded as safe) list, so I feel comfortable using it and it is my preference.

I do recommend you visit your vet for specific dosage instructions, because what is right for her may not be right for your dog or cat.

The Warnings: To be fair, some people (even some with German Shepherds) have had poor experiences with this product. The main symptom begins as excessive thirst, and is thought to be from the Potassium Sorbate. It may progress to worse symptoms if the pet is not taken off the supplement immediately.

Yucca extract powder is available as an alternative. Look for powders that have no additives- you want pure yucca shindigera extract. Simply mix the powder into soft foods or liquid.

Again, please see your vet before beginning or ending any supplement or medication in your pet’s routine.

Other Benefits of Yucca Intensive

The benefits extend beyond use for arthritis in animals. If your pet has allergies, skin allergies or rashes, hot spots, and other skin/hair problems they may benefit from yucca extract. It has been used to replace cortisone and prednisone.

I have nothing but good reviews for this product and I hope you’ll visit your vet and see if it is right for your pet. My pup was much more comfortable and I was much happier being able to give her a natural supplement instead of a medication.
