The Marriott Albuquerque
The Albuquerque Marriott - Central & Easy To Access
The Marriott Albuquerque boasts a perfect location right smack in the middle of town and directly off I-40 & Louisiana.
You’re right across the street from the Uptown shopping center and the Coronado mall, tons of eateries, and a short drive from the Sandia Peak Tram, Downtown, Old Town, The ABQ BioPark, Kirtland Air Force Base, and the University of New Mexico.
Many rooms have an incredible view overlooking the city and Sandia Mountains. Be sure to ask for these rooms, as they really show the beauty of the city.
Checking into the Marriott Albuquerque is made easier for people in a hurry or with disabilities due to their check-in express lane. Checking out is easier than ever, also, with their state-of-the-art video review billing, which allows you to see your hotel accommodation bill in real time. You may also use the video to simply confirm your check out.
Other hotel amenities include an on-site exercise room with cardio equipment and free weights, an indoor pool, an outdoor heated pool, and a whirlpool. Towels are provided for your convenience. There is also a sauna if you prefer to relax in a steam room.
Additionally, while some Marriott Hotels may offer a gratis breakfast, this is not one of them. But, that’s to your benefit because there are tons of restaurants nearby, including the Cielo Sandia located right on the property.
As I mentioned, the Albuquerque Uptown shopping center is right across the street (Louisiana), and you’ll find some dining choices there.
My sister loves the Elephant Bar and Lounge. It’s a chain, but the food and deserts are popular with locals and visitors alike.
If you walk across the Northern cross street, America’s Parkway, you’ll find two restaurants I enjoy; Le Peep & Japanese Kitchen. Jason’s Deli is also in the complex and has good reviews.
Japanese Kitchen is a hibachi-style restaurant, similar to Benihana. It’s a homegrown version, and much better in my opinion. You’ll be seated with a group of people you may not know because each grill seats 8. Then watch the chefs perform as they cook your food with onion volcanoes and dancing eggs. Sushi is also available from their sushi bar, which you can visit separately if you prefer.
Le Peep is a favorite of my husband and I. Serving breakfast and lunch, the food is a continental spin on traditional breakfast and lunch items. Breakfast and lunch are served all day and I recommend the skillet breakfasts especially. Lunch means a Turkey Melt or Ruben Melt (if you’re me, anyway). Yum!
You're going to have a great stay in Albuquerque, especially with the central location of the Marriott. There's plenty within walking distance and more just a short drive away. Have fun!
